Hans-Erik Dyvik Husby, better known by the artist name Hank von Hell, is dead. The rock star and actor turned 49 years old. Hank von Hell was a singer in the Norwegian band Turbonegro . They have hits like “Are you ready (for some darkness)” and “I got erection”. The band was scandal-ridden and often ended up on the ballot papers.
In 2005, they played in Sweden and then accused the Swedish royal family of both pedophilia and incest. Hank von Hell first called himself Hank von Helvete. Over the years he has also been called “Hertugen”, “Herr Tugen” and “Hertis”.
Hank von Hell spoke openly about his drug abuse. After 18 years in the band, he chose to quit Turbonegro in 2010 to become sober and to focus on his family and his acting career. Among other things, he played the role of the troubadour Cornelis Vreeswijk in the film “Cornelis”. He also played Jesus and participated in the melody festival. In 2013, Hans-Erik Dyvik Husby participated in the Norwegian melody festival “Melodi Grand Prix” with the song “No one”. However, he did not reach the final.
Since 2018, Dyvik has written songs under the artist name Hank von Hell. In November 2018, he released the album “Egomania” and after that he participated again in the Norwegian melody festival.
Dyvik Husby also played theater. He played Jesus in “Jesus Christ Superstar” at “Det Norske Teater”.
Husby has a daughter Else Victoria together with her ex-wife Gro Skaustein, 41.
