This month, I was treated with an amazing assortment of albums to review from the mighty Frontiers Music Srl! With the latest release from Swedish supergroup Crowne queued up and ready to go, my mission continues…

Let me just dive right in… I was totally blown away by this release! This album is a non-stop thrill ride of good old Swedish melodic heavy metal. As I have stated on many occasions, supergroup assembly can be a very tricky situation. When the creative chemistry is there, they work, and the resulting music can be magical. That is absolutely the case here! Let’s meet the band, shall we? This supremely talented band consists of vocalist Alexander Strandell (Art Nation), guitarist/keyboardist/producer Jona Tee (H.E.A.T.), bassist John Levén (Europe), drummer Christian Lundqvist (The Poodles), and Love Magnusson (Dynazty) supplying guitar solos. With a band like that, you know the quality of tunes contained here is otherworldly!

Each member shines on every single tune. Alexander Strandell’s vocals are soaring and incredibly passionate, demanding us, the fortunate listeners to participate in the ultra-catchy sing along choruses. As expected, the rhythmic foundation supplied by Jona Tee, John Levén, and Christian Lundqvist is pure perfection. And, Love Magnusson’s solos are just jaw dropping! His phrasing and technical ability is simply flawless and elevates these already magnificent tunes to a whole new fist pumping air guitar level!

With such a strong collection of material, picking favorites is literally impossible. If I was forced to choose, my current top tracks would be “Kings In The North”, “Perceval”, “Sharoline”, “Unbreakable”, and “One In A Million”. Again, there are zero weak tracks on this album!

As an unapologetic disciple of all things melodic heavy metal, I am always searching for that next group to unexpectedly wow me. Crowne have done that in remarkable fashion. Each artist’s performance is stellar on every single track. Crowne, I humbly ask you guys to please keep this going! Do not let this be a simple one-off project. What you have delivered here is nothing short of breathtaking. For all other like-minded melodic metal fans, BUY THIS ALBUM!!! I would’ve given it a 6/5, if that were mathematically possible!
