FRACTAL UNIVERSE launches new single, “Masterpiece’s Parallelism”

Listen HERE! The video for the first single, “Oneiric Realisations”, can also be seen at that location.

Fractal Universe‘s sophomore full-length, Rhizomes of Insanity, hits as hard intellectually as it does sonically, affirming the French quartet’s place on the progressive death metal map. “‘Rhizomes of Insanity‘ is a concept album based on a thought experiment around the concept of insanity,” asserts vocalist/guitarist Vince Wilquin. “It questions the origins of it, and tries to define where we set its boundaries with ‘reason’. It eventually questions its place in our modern society and surmises that it has turned into an intrinsic, unavoidable but also necessary part of it and of every human being, which we’re trying to repress at all costs.” From start to finish, the album is an immersive, complex yet wholly accessible collection rich in melody, invention, and packed with decimating riffs – wielding ten tracks, all of which hit their mark.

EXUMER launches new single, “King’s End”.

On April 5th, legendary multinational thrash metallers Exumer will release their fifth full-length, Hostile Defiance, via Metal Blade Records.

Hostile Defiance is exactly what its title suggests. A 42-minute full on attack, the thrash faction hold nothing back as they unleash hell as only they can, yet with more variety and dynamics than ever before. “We wanted to sonically progress, incorporating more melodic elements in the music as well as more rhythmic variety,” states vocalist Mem Von Stein. “We are a lot braver trying to create an up to date and relevant sound that can easily stand alone in today’s thrash landscape without sounding trite or a throwback, and we’re challenging the listener not to get too comfortable with one specific feel, tempo or pace.”

ARCH/MATHEOS reveals details for new album, ‘Winter Ethereal’
Winter Ethereal will be released May 10th on Metal Blade Records. A video for the song “Straight and Narrow” is available now for streaming. Watch the video and pre-order the album in various bundle packages at THIS location!
One thing is certain, with Winter Ethereal , fans of Arch / Matheos will feel that the long wait endured for new music has been worth it. The natural manner in which it all came together makes it all the more special. “Sometimes after being away from something for a while and having life experiences to draw from, you feel you have something to say or offer. Music has always been the best medium for me to express what sometimes words alone cannot, and the timing for this record was just right,” Arch asserts. When it comes to the words he would most readily apply to the album, he immediately goes to “unpretentious, emotionally driven, and, sometimes, the hard truth. ‘Sympathetic Resonance‘ had many of these elements, but I think ‘Winter Ethereal‘ does it with more breathing room, giving the listener time for reflection.”
ANTROPOMORPHIA launches new single, “Luciferian Tempest”, online.

To hear the previous singles (“Womb ov Thorns” and “Merciless Savagery”), please visit THIS location.
In the year marking the 30th anniversary, AntropomorphiA has delivered an extreme metal opus that more than maintains the high standards upheld over the course of their storied career. Further building on the monstrous sounds of 2017′s Sermon Ov Wrath, Merciless Savagery lives up to its name, attacking with unrepentant ferocity and holding nothing back. Vocalist/guitarist Ferry Damen comments: “‘Sermon Ov Wrath‘ was our most raw and honest statement and an album where we transcended certain genre limitations, capturing the essence of AntropomorphiA, and I would say the new record’s atmosphere is darker, heavier and more punishing, but still has hooky riffs and grooves. I think it’s the logical step forward. It’s a different chapter, even more diverse while being very cohesive, but you can immediately hear it’s AntropomorphiA.”
VULTURE reveals details for new album, ‘Ghastly Waves & Battered Graves’

Launches video for first single, “B.T.B. (Beyond the Blade)” Listen HERE!

On June 7th, Vulture will release their sophomore album, Ghastly Waves & Battered Graves, via Metal Blade Records. For a preview of Ghastly Waves & Battered Graves, a video for the first single, “B.T.B. (Beyond the Blade)”, can be viewed at THIS location.

Vulture comments: “We’re more than happy to have been able to work with the talented Robert Piel. He managed to completely exceed our vision of creating a small suspense-thriller as a music video. This is not just a random band footage clip. This is big cinema.”
