The gates open to the first of what is planned to be an annual recurring rock festival. In the heart of Malmö, Folkets Park, a one-day festival is held filled with rock and hard rock from two scenes. Confirmed bands for the festival so far
are well-known LOK and Evergrey.
On May 25, 2019, the brand new festival will be organized centrally in Malmö, Folkets Park. Organizers of the event is Rock Stage Malmö, which in May 2018 arranged the 3-day festival Melodic Rockfest Scandinavia which attracted audiences from 25 different countries. The goal of the Malmö Rock Festival is to create a venue for the visitors with music and food trucks that suit everyone. Also to create a venue where smaller bands get the chance to meet
new audiences, gain experience and establish contacts. It is a one-day festival with two scenes and a dozen bands for the price of a regular concert.
– Music unites people and creates a community that is incredibly important. Our visitors should not be limited by finances. Our festival is for everyone, says Dea Reuter, PR & Communication Manager at Rock Stage Malmö.
Tickets for the festival are available at tickster.com. There are 3 different types of tickets and only limited editions of Early Bird and the full day ticket that includes after-party. More info about tickets and the festival can be found at www.malmorock.com.
LOK – After 17 years of total silence, the Gothenburg band LOK has dug the ax of battle and reunited for an exclusive summer tour in 2019. The band will play at a few selected festivals in Sweden and the Nordic countries and Malmö Rock Festival is one of them. To celebrate their fans and that it is 20 years since their first album was released, the band will play the album Naken, Blästrad and Skitsur. More united than ever, their goal is to deliver sweaty
rockpunkmetal-hybrid concerts for both old and new fans.
