Bane has been in and out of activity since its inception in 2006 when the band was formed in Serbia by Branislav. It was somewhere around 2012 when Bane relocated to Canada and added yet again, new members into the fold.

ESOTERIC FORMULAE is the latest and third full-length release by Bane. Without going back to some of the earlier workings of Bane, I am not sure how Branislav have progressed over the past. Especially from the 2012 release of THE ACAUSAL FIRE. The only thing I can say with several runs of this one is wow!

Bane offers up their blend of extreme music that is very well thought out and crafted with a sense of perfectionism to it. They play a blend of blackened death metal which is accompanied by more of a symphonic or melodic black metal that add to the atmosphere of their soundscape.

This is one for fans of Dissection, Behemoth, Rotting Christ and Dark Fortress.
