The third book in the definitive series about Budgie.

Chris Pike’s third and final(?) book on the highly underrated British band, Budgie. I received this book as soon as it was printed but due to my absenteeism from the site I never got the review done until now. Sorry Chris. I guess it’s better late than never?

I have read and reviewed both of Chris’ previous Budgie books and this one picks right up where the previous one left off. This volume is from a different era for the band with more changes but just as interesting. As with previous volumes there is a wealth of information in the book including the members personal and home lives. There is a nice bit on newer member John “JT” Thomas right up to his passing and the last chapter is in memory of him which is a very nice touch.

Fantastic book that is an essential read for all Budgie fans, even casual fans like myself. Reading Chris’ three books made me dive deeper into the band and listen to more than the popular ‘Hits’ like “Breadfan”. Highly recommended.
