OK, 2016 Scorpions book is finally at my site with PayPal buttons:

Sorry email #2 on this book but I’ve found a lot of you wait until there’s an easy PayPal button to pay for these things rather than ask for an invoice, so here ya go!

So yeah, I’ve got about 40 copies off the updated and expanded 2016 edition of my Scorpions book for signing and sale.

They are expensive to import, so this campaign is brief (PS: I also have the Cult book plus the hardcover Lizzy—no changes, but one book, through Johnny the Fox. Ask if interested):

It is now called Wind of Change: The Scorpions Story and is published out of the UK.

image002.jpgI did a fairly deep rewrite, expansion, re-edit on this thing, featuring a whole new chapter for Return to Forever, plus new interview footage—some multiple times—from:
Rudolf Schenker, Herman Rarebell, Klaus Meine, Francis Buchholz, Michael Schenker and Matthias Jabs, plus some re-analysis and other citations.

Less pictures than the old edition and I’m not crazy about the cover, but where it really matters, the writing… well, there’s lots of stuff added.

Blackout At The Zoo!

No question that Scorpions, Germany’s loudest and proudest rock band ever, have done much for heavy metal over the years, and it’s high time a book on them hit the shelves. Well, the wait is over with this book that looks at every song on every album the Teutonic tone-masters ever crafted, beginning with Lonesome Crow back in ‘72 through to Return to Forever.

Speedy’s Coming, Dark Lady, Catch Your Train, Virgin Killer, Another Piece Of Meat, Animal Magnetism, Lovedrive, Holiday, The Zoo, Blackout, No One Like You, Rock You Like A Hurricane, Still Loving You, Wind Of Change… these are hits and deep album tracks built into the very fabric of heavy metal, and the stories of their making are all here.

Come join Martin as he embarks on conversation and analysis with all of the principals and beyond, including Klaus Meine, Uli Jon Roth, Herman Rarebell, Rudolf Schenker and Matthias Jabs, along with the likes of David Krebs, Ralph Rieckermann, Francis Buchholz and legendary manager David Krebs.
