It has been seven years since the Brooklyn based legends Life Of Agony last set food on British soil. The three date UK tour started off in London’s Electric Ballroom on a Thursday night and the floor was packed with fans from the past.

A new album IS in the making and a taster was showcased this evening, but tonight was mainly all about the blasts from the past.

Starting off with the two biggest classics “River Runs Red” and “This Time” the show started off so powerful tears nearly flooded the vie.

The band has gone through line-up changes and splits since the bands formation in the early 90’s, but in 2014 the band returned with a leading lady in the front after front singer Mina Caputo’s transition.

Any changes to the voice on that note? Mina is still the owner of one of the most powerful voices fronting one of the most masculine hardcore bands on the scene.

During the 1 hour short set the mosh pit is intense and Caputo is heard saying security should be respected and fellow moshers picked up which might have something to do with the tragic death of a crowdsurfing fan during a Life of Agony show in 1995.

It is a shame to witness quite a short set with no encore, but there was no flaws in the setlist and that leaves the audience quite full and satisfied.

It is good to have Life of Agony back in awesome form, and hopefully this is the beginning of a new era for the band.
