This is the second album by Blood, Sweat & Tears and the first to feature Canadian singer David Clayton-Thomas. For me personally all the B,S &T songs I knew were on this album. This is the definition of the band, here in Canada at least. It may be different stateside but here this is what the band is known for.

This album contains the hits “And When I Die”, “You’ve Made Me So Very Happy” and the infamous “Spinning Wheel” all of which were staples of 70’s radio. Whilst I am not old enough to really remember the 70’s it is however etched in my brain. Maybe it’s the fact that I was around at the time and these songs were playing on the radio or a family members stereo? Whatever it was, it was part of growing up. Now all these years later I own those songs on one great sounding disc. Over the years I have bought albums with these songs but this is the first time owning the classic album from which they are originally from. This reissue sounds fantastic as all reissues should. All the instrumentation is crystal clear and well defined. It is hard to believe these recordings are over four decades old.

Released as the 60’s ended, became a hit in the 70’s and gets a fresh new release in the 21st Century. Proof is right there that good music is timeless and this is a timeless classic.
