Mostly famously known as one of the founding members, guitarist & lyrics writer for legendary Immortal, Demonaz has released his first solo album, “March Of The Norse”. Demonaz, himself classes his album as: Norse Metal! Riding high along with him is Ice Dale (I, Enslaved, Audrey Horne) on guitars and bass, plus Armagedda (ex Immortal, I) on drums.

“Northern Hymn” is the perfect prelude into “All Blackened Sky” which is a powerful battle metal style track that continues throughout the full album. The mellow “Ode To Battle” interlude before we are treated to the final story “Legends Of Fire & Ice” which marches us along to the end of the album accompanied with ripping guitars and driving drums.

Both musically and lyrically this album is very listenable and enjoyable. I can see why Demonaz classes it as ‘Norse Metal’ with the soaring, majestic riffs teamed up with pounding drums and Viking style lyrics and singing/growls; it definitely conquers a few battlefields.
