Kicking off the disc is the debut single, “Take Your Hands Off Me” with it’s heavy use of keyboards almost to the point of overpowering. The next track, “Get Away” is much better and the band really shines on this one. The catchy chorus and great hooks make for a perfect radio friendly song. This is carried on into “Story Of My Life” which picks up the tempo a bit and is sure to be a crowd pleaser in a live setting. On “A Night To Remember” they finally turn the guitar and drums up a bit in the mix. This combined with Ash’s voice which is pretty powerful on this one and you got a sure fire radio hit. There should have been more like this on here.
This debut has a few moments but for the most part it is a safe and radio friendly pop/rock album.
