You may remember The Offspring from their mega selling album SMASH back in the mid-90’s. Well many years have passed and Dexter, Noodles and Greg gave returned with this new release that is sure to please old fans and possibly gain a few new ones.

The dozen songs on the CD are very consistent and sound undeniably like Offspring of old due mainly to Dexter’s totally unique voice. All of the songs are the same basic formula and style that made them popular in the first place. The only real standout on the album is “You’re Gonna Go Far, Kid”. The chorus is catchy and the melody is slightly different than the rest of their material.

A decent release with no surprises. It is a typical Offspring album with nothing new to offer. If it ain’t broke, why fix it attitude we can assume. Hey, its worked for many a band.
