Rating: 4/5

The amazing and classic Yes lineup are captured here in outstanding video and audio quality at their first ever appearance at the Montreux Jazz Festival. Here on this DVD you see Anderson, Squire, Howe, Wakeman and White in top form playing some of their most well known masterpieces.

Just about everything you’d want and more is performed flawlessly on this DVD. The only omissions that would have been welcomed are “Time And A Word” and the ever popular “Owner Of A Lonely Heart”. Apart from those couple of missing tracks the show is fantastic. < ?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Anderson’s vocals are right on the mark and have never sounded better. He hits note’s that many other singers just wish they could come close to hitting. He is in a league of select few. His distinct voice adds to Yes’ signature sound. Musically the knowledge in this band exceeds that of most. With the years of combined playing, Howe, White, Squire and Wakeman cannot be beat. They gel so well together and it appears that it is done with such ease. They are so into their craft it almost seems effortless at times. During the last 2 songs “I’ve Seen All Good People” and “Roundabout” we get to really see the audience participation and the band just so into the zone.

An exceptional concert DVD. Would you expect anything less from YES??
