This Canadian trio is made up of 2 former members of Brighton Rock (Greg Fraser and Stevie Skreebs) along with drummer Phil Epp. This new trio combines hard rock guitar riffs with melodic vocals and hard hitting drums. < ?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

The vast majority of this release is hard rockin’ upbeat tunes that just kill. Excellent guitar work throughout and some really cool rock riffs. Tracks like “< ?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Paradise”, “Blow Me Away” and “Stargazer” are 100% pure Hard Rock. The attitude and energy are caught on tape foe the world to hear. The latter “Stargazer” is extremely catchy and contains some great harmony vocals on the chorus. The final track on the disc “Hot Rod” has that live rockin’ bar band groove. It’s the whole foot tappin’ feel good, beer drinkin party song for the times. The bluesy guitar solo, crowd noise…everything just makes it one of those songs you can’t help but crank the fuck out of.

The ballad that really stands out is the phenomenal “ Rainbow Eyes”. The whole structure and execution of the song is flawless. The vocals, guitar sound, melodic bass line…everything. It is a perfect song in every way. Ather one on the album is the almost equally as good “I Stand Alone”. This is closer to the 80’s Power Ballad but slightly more modern. The 3rd ballad here “Roll With the Punches” has such a great large sound. The orchestration here just sounds so full and big and Greg’s vocals on these tracks have so much heartfelt emotion.

A fantastic release from some of this nation’s greatest players. A disc of hard rockin’ feel good tunes with a bit of softness mixed in for good measure. A must own release!
