Griz – My Evolution

I’ll put it simply: Rapping over basic rock riffs. Does this sound like the kind of thing that Metal-Rules would give a high score to? Admittedly, I am not the one to be giving this an objective review as my exposure to rap is very limited, but even I can hear that Griz is ripping off DMX’s style and sound (vocally). Hell, even my girlfriend heard it within the first 10 seconds of “American Freedom”. OK, so Griz had a tough life growing up and came out better on the other side, I can respect that. I even like a few songs on here, but it ain’t metal, so you won’t be getting a good review on this website though.
