A live concert in Seattle from 2000.

Recorded over 2 nights this past summer at the Moore Theatre in their hometown of Seattle, Washington before a few thousand fans. This performance proves to everyone who figured that they are “Has been’s” that they definitely aren’t. Geoff Tate’s vocals are still as strong as they were on their earlier albums and in some places they seem to be more powerful. Granted he might not reach those high notes on “Queen Of The Reich” but he comes awful fucking close and one would have to do a close comparison to notice. Musically the band is in great form and are really tight, you hardly even realize that DeGarmo is gone.

As you would come to expect from Queensryche the quality of this release is amazing, it is one of the best I’ve seen. The picture is very sharp and the colored lights came through to video perfectly. Soundwise the 5.1 mix is great and I highly recommend playing at a very loud volume, especially “Empire”, “Revolution Calling” & “Jet City Woman”.

Every era of the band is well represented on this release with songs from each release. You can watch the DVD as an entire concert (Recommended) or in Suites (Songs from each era put together for you). There are 4 suites to choose from 1 – EP/Warning/Rage Suite, 2 – Mindcrime Suite, 3 – Empire/Promised Suite, 4 – HITNF/Q2K Suite.

My only complaints about this DVD are that the titles on the back cover are listed only in Suites and not in the proper setlist order (Which you can see on the dvd under the Setlist option) and that original guitarist Chris DeGarmo is not in the band anymore. Still this is a must have for your DVD collection and you will watch it many times.

Now I can’t wait for the Livecrime DVD later the month.
