Tattoos/Piercings: Batman logo on back of neck

Non-MR Job: Staff writer and profiles editor at trade publishing company

Length of Time with MR: 8 months (as of Feb 2012)

Best thing about working for MR: What isn’t good! Free passes to see gigs, meeting bands, interviewing, getting new material to review – am never short of something to listen to :)

Worst thing about working for MR: Making sure I keep on top of emails and posting up all the new gigs for the team!

How/when you first got into metal: When I was at school nu-metal was getting big but my luckily my friend’s brother liked something a bit harder so she introduced me to some stuff – and I was hooked! Then I used to check liner notes in CD booklets and check out the bands that the bands liked and it snowballed from there. It wasn’t so easy without the internet lol you had to put some effort in!

Favorite Metal Genre(s): Groove/Thrash/Heavy/Progressive/Rock n Roll

Least favorite Metal Genre(s): Nu-metal/ Emo

First Metal CD ever bought: Arghhh I don’t remember (I have too many CD’s) maybe a Pantera one?

First Metal Concert: ...hard to say I used to just end up at gigs sometimes :)

Favorite bands/artists: Too many to list but AC/DC, Pantera, Lamb Of God, Misfits, Machine Head, The Haunted, Metallica, Tool, Black Label Society, Down, In Flames, and on it goes...

Least favorite bands/artists: Argh putting me on the spot... thing is there are bands I hate far more from other genres!

Most overrated bands/artists: For me a lot of the bands in certain genres that everyone else loves I think are overrated lol but someone is buying their stuff! :/

Favorite album cover: Pantera – Vulgar Display Of Power. It’s just awesomely powerful – no matter how old it gets.

Top 10 favorite albums:

AC/DC – Highway To Hell

Pantera – Cowboys From Hell

Pantera – Vulgar Display Of Power

Machine Head – The Blackening

The Haunted – The Dead Eye

Lamb Of God – Ashes Of The Wake

Black Label Society – Sonic Brew

Tool - Ænima

Down – Nola

Metallica – Black album

CD you hate to admit is part of your collection: Ermm.. I have a lot of old school rock n roll that can edge into cheesy such as Whitesnake – but I love every CD I have :)

Spoken Languages: English

Hobbies: Writing, painting, music, comics, films

Pet peeves: Fake people, trend followers, copycats

Favorite drink: Cocktails! Also Amaretto and coke

Which song should be played at your funeral: Highway To Hell – AC/DC (not sure that will be allowed though!)

Person you'd most like to meet:
Alive: Phil Anselmo, Peter Dolving, Johnny Depp
Deceased: Sadly this list is longer than I’d like but condensed down - Bon Scott, Dimebag Darrell, Jimi Hendrix, Cliff Burton... all the good guys :)

Five favorite links:

www.etsy.com (handmade is better than mass produced)

www.firebox.com (gadgets galore)

www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/zero-punctuation (game review awesomeness)

www.google.com (entry to everything :))

Final comments about yourself: Most likely found in a mosh pit... always room for one more J
