Job(s) @ Metal Rules: CD reviewer, interviewer, concert reviewer, photographer Length of Time with MR: Since July 2003 Brief description of how you came to MR: I first heard about MR on Blabbermouth.net who posted parts of the infamous interview Marko did with Motorhead drummer Mikkey Dee back in December 2002. I clicked on the link back to MR, read the interview and checked out the rest of the site. I saw it was run by a fellow Canadian so I bookmarked it and soon became a regular visitor. One day, I was bored at work and after reading the June 2003 CD reviews, I thought I’d e-mail EvilG to see if he wanted to hire another writer. The rest is history!! Best thing about working for MR: Discovering new bands, getting free concert passes and CDs, and getting to interview some of my favorite bands are all pretty sweet perks, but most of all, writing about a genre of music that I love is the real treat. Worst thing about working for MR: Seeing the end of the month right around the corner and realizing I still have a stack of CDs to review! Typing up my long-winded interviews and formatting photos are a close second.

Pet peeves: Elitists and negative nellies on the M-R forum; logo-worshippers; people who hate a band once they become even vaguely known; idiot drunks; potheads; moshers; people who sneeze/cough and don’t cover their nose/mouth; people who talk loud on cellphones; people who think their ringtones are cool and let them play so everyone can hear them; impatient drivers; mayonnaise; people who say “tag you’re it” when repeatedly trying to call someone on the phone; B.O.; cigarettes…the list can go on forever. Yes, I’m a bitter guy!!
