As the title states this performance Blu-Ray was filmed at the infamous Montreux Jazz Festival in 2010. In less then a year after this concert, Gary Moore would no longer be with us. This release is a testament to just how great a player he was.
The baker’s dozen of performances on this release showcases why Moore was admired and so highly praised as a guitarist. Featuring such ‘Hits’ as “Over The Hills and Far Away” and “Out In The Fields” make for one enjoyable listening and viewing experience. His style of Blues Rock is not totally unique but he can deliver the songs live like many guitar players can’t. It is on stage where he really shined and let loose. Watching him let loose and really shred during the solo’s are what helps set him apart from the average Joe. His studio works are great unto themselves but on stage was where he really shined.
Eagle Rock have delivered another fine release in the Montreux series. The picture and sound are simply amazing. These concerts just keep getting better with the advances in modern technology. The clarity of the video is perfect. Another highly recommended concert release.
