Airbourne / Joe Perry / Motley Crue

Feb 02, 2010
Quebec City, Canada

Review and pics by Geneviève Hamel

Airbourne started the show with full force, and as usual, they were powerful and loud! Although their half-our set was really too short, the crowd really enjoyed these crazy Australians!

Joe Perry (Aerosmith's guitarist) was next and the intensity seemed to decline while he was playing. It would have been better to start the show with him and then Airbourne should of played, not the contrary. The arena setting was not the best for Perry, as I feel a club setting would've suited him much better.

Finally, it was time for Motley to play their set, and what a set it was! Pyro and great rock n' roll mixed together to create one big Rock n' Roll party! Only 2 new songs were played (Saints of Los Angeles and Motherfucker of the Year), as the band's set list focused mainly on the classics that the Crue have created over the last 3 decades (i.e. Looks That Kill, Girls Girls Girls, Live Wire, Dr. Feelgood, Home Sweet Home and Kickstart My Heart...).

Although only 4000 fans were in attendance, the band gave all they had that night and the show was awesome, as usual!
