Good Friday 25 March
ANGRA, Dungeon, Jennifer Must Drown
Marquee, Camperdown, New South Wales

Traditionally, nothing is open in Australia on Good Friday, so the ANGRA show pulled almost twice as many people this night as metalheads gathered, regardless of their preferred styles. Also, it was ANGRA’s end of tour show and there was a party to be had. Even Tumoas and Jukka of NIGHTWISH turned up with their beloved managers and crew—what a bunch of really fun guys.

Those familiar faces you see on the NIGHTWISH dvds (Ewo, the manager; Tommi, the man who makes things disappear down his nose; and the ever-naked Tero, who seemed overdressed this night) were also present in Australia, which says a lot of good things about this musical family.

ANGRA played for two hours this night with the same set as Tuesday, but with some added extras: DUNGEON’s singer/guitarist, LORD TIM and guitarist, STU, joined them on stage for JUDAS PRIEST’s Painkiller with LT on vocals; and IRON MAIDEN’s The Number of the Beast with EDU singing just to name a few.

Overall, I think we made both NIGHTWISH and ANGRA want to come back to Australia soon—at least, I’d like to think so.
