Nebula
BBC: Peel Sessions

2008, Cargo Records
Rating: 3/5

Nebula is an American trio that came to be because of skate movies. This release is comprised of tracks recorded by John Peel for the BBBC between 2002 and 2004.

Stoner Rock is the most fitting category you can attach to Nebula although it is slightly misleading at times. There are allot of Stoner aspects to the music but there are hints of Prog and basic Rock in there as well. Musically the songs are quite enjoyable but it’s the vocals that are the bands biggest downfall and they do nothing to help the songs.

A singer with stronger vocal delivery would help this band tremendously. The music is well written and quite enjoyable on its own.
