Ted Nugent
Sweden Rocks

2008, Eagle Vision
Rating: 4.5/5

Uncle Ted gets captured on film in front of thousands of crazy yet adoring fans at 2006’s Sweden Rock Festival. Ted; along with Mick Brown (drums) and Barry Sparks (bass)deliver some of the most high powered rock you will ever see hit a stage.

Nuge and his Funk Brothers as he calls them blast their way through 15 of some of his best material including a couple of selections off his LOVE GRENADE cd that never hit store shelves until the following year. The sheer intensity of “Wango Tango” and “Stranglehold” is still as electrifying today as it was back when it first came out many moons ago. While Ted may look a little older today his playing is still first rate and his energy level is over the top.

The visual quality of the DVD is clear and very well filmed. The audio portion is decent but there should have been more time spent in the mix as the bass drum is slightly muffled.

This is a must own concert DVD. This release surpasses his last concert DVD by miles.
