LENNY WOLF AND ERIC FOERSTER
Kingdom Come was originally formed in North America by German born vocalist Lenny Wolf following his critically acclaimed but commercially untenable band Stone Fury. The original line-up consisted of Wolf, guitarists Danny Stagg and Rick Steier, bassist Johnny B. Frank and current Scorpions drummer James Kottak. The band was soon signed to Polydor Records and they released their eponymous debut album, produced by Bob Rock, in 1988. With the impact of the huge radio hits 'Get It On' and 'What Love Can Be' the album went gold. Later on the same year the band finished the U.S Monsters of Rock which also included such names as Metallica, Scorpions and headliners Van Halen. At that point everything looked very promising for the bands future. The next year the band returned to the studio, now with Keith Olsen, and as a result band released their sophomore album IN YOUR FACE. Although the album still did pretty well it failed to reach its predecessor's success and the whole band split up in late 1989. Lenny decided to continue under the name Kingdom Come and the band's third album HANDS OF TIME was released in late 1990. Despite the undoubted strength of the album, the interest level in the band had declined sharply and HANDS OF TIME failed to chart. Kingdom Come's career at Polydor Records came to an end. Lenny made another attempt to return, now with all German line up and a new record deal with WEA. In 1993 with the heavier album BAD IMAGE was released but didn't got too much interest outside of Germany. 1995 saw the release of the experimental TWILIGHT CRUISER album and MASTER SEVEN was released the following year. Although the band hasn’t been much in headlines outside of Germany after the mid 90's they still have been around. The band has since then released four studio albums, the latest one AIN'T CRYING FOR THE MOON came out in 2006, and they have done some touring. Recently the band joined forces with U.S band Dokken and together they did a co-headline European tour titled "Defenders of Rock". I managed to catch Lenny and current guitarist Eric Foerster just before their show in Copenhagen and here's the latest update from the world of Kingdom Come.

New York´s INCANTATION - Former member John McEntee
Interview and live pictures by Luxi Lahtinen Thanks to Lucas Dahl for transription

Death Metal´s thunderstorm called "Northern Assassination Tour 2007" rolled over the Scandinavian countries in the beginning of September, bringing over 4 fully-armed hordes of Death Metal: Crionics, Incantation, Rotting Christ and Krisiun. The Polish Massive Music company had done a really splendid job by booking all these bands to play to some of those countries they had never played before, for example Finland being on the tour list for even 5 dates in 5 different Finnish cities.
My personal focus was on the New York Death Metal pioneers Incantation who have basically been around forever - spreading their ancient Death Metal spirit for the last 18 years, selling thousands of albums worldwide. The band´s latest album, PRIMORDIAL DOMINATION, which was released through the band´s new label Listenable Records in 2006, has also very well been received amongst the worldwide Death Metal community, establishing Incantation´s name even more on the map of Death Metal as one of the last torch bearers and survivals of the genre.
I met up with my old penpal John McEntee (who´s the only founding member left from the original Incantation line-up) at Nosturi in Helsinki on September 5th about 3 hours prior to their showtime, and John was more than keen on talking about his past days he spent with Revenant up to this current tour they have going on with all these bands, etc. - and how this one special Anal Cunt song titled, "Kyle from Incantation Has a Mustach" got started actually. Extra special thanks go out to John personally for being so enthusiastic and excited about giving such an in-depth insight into the whole history of Incantation...

Lord Ahriman
Dark Funeral
Interview by HannTu
Camden Underworld, 22nd November 2007

I'm sure Dark Funeral needs no introduction. The Swedish black metallers finally came to the UK two years after their last album ATTERA TOTUS SANCTUS was released to general acclaim. I interviewed founding member, guitarist and inspiration Lord Ahriman, who was pretty stressed out when I met him for the interview, due to an early start in the day and some problems with merchandise. He was pretty reserved, distant and although answered my questions with great politeness and courtesy, it always felt as if he didn't want to be there.

The best description for Slough Feg that I’ve heard is that they are “the best band you’ve never heard of.” I admit that I was late to the party with them, but once I got there it didn’t take long for me to start partying hard. When I found out that they were going across the country on a U.S. tour, I knew there was no way that I could pass up the opportunity to check them out live.
