TROUBLE has been, and still is, one of the most important and influential doom metal bands. They have had a huge impact on various metal styles from extreme death metal to above all majestical doom metal. The legendary five piece doomsters from Chicago made a visit to the prestigious SwedenRock festival where I managed to catch the band’s guitarist Rick Wartell to have a conversation about the new seventh output SIMPLE MIND CONDITION and of course the past, the present and the future.

KLAUS MEINE
Legendary German rockers Scorpions are back in the limelight with their new album "Humanity -Hour 1" which is the bands 21'st studio release. The album proves that although the band has already reached their respectable 35 year landmark they still have a lot to give to the fans of melodic hard rock and metal. The new album is produced by Desmond Child who is one of the most respected and successful producers in today’s music business. I had an opportunity to sit down with the band's vocalist and founding member Klaus Meine just prior to the band's triumphant performance in this years edition of the legendary Swedenrock. Here is what Klaus had to say about the new album and some other current topics in the Scorpions world...

FAST EDDIE CLARKE
Even to this day Fast Eddie Clarke is probably best known to the heavy metal masses as the guitar hero of the pioneering lineup of MOTÖRHEAD from 1977-1982, which also featured Philthy Animal Taylor on drums. Together, with their fearless leader Lemmy Kilmister leading the way, these three rock legends recorded and released such praised albums as "Motorhead" in 1977, "Overkill" and "Bomber" in 1979, "Ace of Spades" in 1980, "Iron Fist" in 1982 and of course the classic live album "No Sleep 'til Hammersmith" in 1981. In the early eighties Fast Eddie was either fired from Motörhead or depending on who's telling the story, left of his own volition. Either way he was headed towards even greater commercial success with his new band FASTWAY, which he'd set up with Pete Way, at the time, of UFO. From there started a rock n' roll roller coaster ride which by the early nineties had brought Eddie to the verge of death and forced him out of the public eye. Now, after two decades, Eddie has finally chosen to return to the stage with his newly assembled lineup of FASTWAY. We're very proud to be able to present to you this interview with the great man himself where, with admirable candor, Fast Eddie recounts some of the various chapters of his colourful career. Rock on!

Interview by Arto Lehtinen
Europe has tons of great metal festivals arranged almost in every country during the summer time. Of course bigger festivals such Graspop, SwedenRock, Wacken, FullForce, Gods Of Metal, Hellfest, MetalCamp and tons of others definitely draw bigger names and more attention. However there are a lot of smaller metal festival arranged as well. These smaller more underground oriented festivals are arranged with the passion and devotion toward the metal music despite the budgets of these festivals ain’t tremendous huge.
Jalometalli is a relative new, but damn activate and vital metal festival arranged up in the north in Oulu. The festival has grown piece by piece every year and booked more and more wellknown bands. Jalometalli definitely hit the jackpot by managing to book the legendary Bay Area thrashers Testament and of course another, but European thrash legends Kreator. However Jalometalli offers more legends such Unleashed, Candlemass and the mighty Holy Moses. What the one can wish from one metal small festival, doom metal, thrash metal, death metal. Of course Finnish metal bands play an important role giving the last shape to the line-up of the festival.
As for the tickets, well they can be ordered from the Finnish Ticket Service, Check out this link
The primusmotor and chief of the Jalometalli festival Marco Järvenpää is more thrilled about the line up of the Jalometalli festival 2007. Therefore it would be about time and to give an opportunity to the chief to enlighten more about the festival.
