Columns: Where Are They Now?

VoiVod's Snake (Denis Belanger)

Snake was the lead vocalist for Voivod. He left after their 1995 CD The Outter Limits.  Snake is also no longer in the "where are they now" files. We've heard direct from Snake himself about his new band entitled "Union Made." They even have a website at www.qmnet.com/unionmade. Be sure to check it out. We haven't heard his new stuff yet, but if and when we do we'll let you know. We just hope it is METAL.

Update #1

In older Snake news...
On September 5th 1999 at the Medley in Montreal, PQ, VOIVOD  was rejoined onstage by their former lead singer, "Snake" Belanger for the first time since 1994. Voivod was opening for NEUROSIS in preparation for their upcoming tour together in Europe, and had just finished their set when Piggy announced that they had a surprise for the audience. Snake came out (looking, eerily enough for a band named after a vampire, the same as ever) and performed the song 'Voivod' from the album War and Pain. After the set, Snake hugged the band members, and announced to the crowd that the lead singer/bass player Eric Forrest "the man". The crowd seemed to appreciate the sentiment, and cheered its approval.
