The Lord Of Steel-Live
October 2013
Released: 2013, Magic Circle
Rating: 4.0/5
Reviewer: JP

As a die-hard Manowar fan I feel I have a moral obligation to give any Manowar release a perfect score. However, even I have to scale back my undying love for the band with the release of this latest Live MCD. I bought this from the fanclub and it is a nice little package. THE LORDS OF STEEL-LIVE has a simple eye-catching cover and a god booklet with a nice layout with lyrics and some cool crowd shots from around the world.

The Live EP is essentially a showcase of tracks from the Lord Of Steel World tour with six cuts from six nations; specifically, Italy, Sweden, Finland, Germany, Russia and the Czech Republic. All the songs are all newer songs, so it is a neat idea to have these cuts because it has only been seven years and one album since the last double Live Gods Of War Live from 2007. The crowds are nice and loud and we get some decent interaction from the band and the crowd.

The sound is awesome, production is great and the band is firing with all guns blazing. It is a nice stopgap until the next project the re-recording of KINGS OF METAL. It’s well done and is dedicated to the fans and all Manowar fans must have it.
