Nocturnal Torment
They Come at Night
November 2012
Released: 2012, Orchestrated Misery Recordings Rating: 5.0/5 Reviewer: Metal-Rules.com UK Team It’s been about 20 years since these guys were last heard of! After forming in 1988 under the name TERMINATION they took a back seat so they could concentrate on other band issues and projects, but now NOCTURNAL TORMENT are back with vengeance to show the world how to play death metal, old school style!! A none stop thrill ride from start to finish, with heart pounding drumming and guitar work you hear only on early CANNIBAL CORPSE or DOOM. And to be fair, these guys are definitely a strong likeness to the death metal legends of old! Now the songs that caught my eye were “Fresh Flesh Fetish” and “Primordial Existence”, not just cause of the names but the sounds behind them aswell. Such raw power that could only be found using old school methods, I’m sorry to say that a lot of new age death metal should watch their backs, as these guys are about to self ya’ll!!
