On The Dawning Of Light
November 2012
Released: 2012, Candlelight Rating: 3.5/5 Reviewer: Metal-Rules.com UK Team There’s very little info on this band as they like to remain in mystery, but all I can say is that they’re from the UK and play Black Metal! ‘On The Dawning Of Light’ is their second album release and mix vitriolic black metal with darker, surrounding atmospheres. The concept of the album is basically exploring how humanity have come to the realisation that they have been held under control for too long, broken free and moved on…I’m not sure how we’ve moved on but I think it’s to do with our religious beliefs as the album represents a wider social commentary about the state of the modern world and the subjugation of all people. It is without doubt this is a dark and aggressive album but I have to say it isn’t one that exactly breaks any new barriers and is pretty cliché typical modern black metal, so although it’s a great album there was nothing there that I haven’t heard before from other established well-known black metal bands. The production and sound are great and the album is well written, although there is slight repetition throughout the album but still one that I did enjoy and one that Black Metal fans should hear!
