Disloyal
Nineth Gate
March 2013
Released: 2013, Self-released Rating: 1.5/5 Reviewer: Metal-Rules.com UK Team Disloyal was formed back in 1992 and is based in Slovakia. Not much is known of the band, so there is little I can say about them, but it was due to lack of members that the band laid dormant for so long. On first playing the album I felt the band needed a lot more practice and could be much tighter as they seemed to lack confidence and energy, but I liked the black metal vocals but hearing them all together made me want to walk in there with a stick and point to each member to get them to their full potential…abit like a conductor lol! All the ingredients are there, but it’s not put together well, with a mish-mash of sounds and genres that are playing all over each other it really didn’t make much sense to me. It’s a shame because there are some great individual pieces in there, from guitar riffs to keyboard pieces but more focus/practice is needed with a better concept to bring the tracks together and hold the sound to make the atmosphere needed for this album. If I’m honest I was already done with this album after the first song, but the album did improve towards to the end and ends with a lovely outro. I’m sure within time and more practice these guys will do a lot better, as I do feel they have potential and black metal fans will appreciate this release. Review by Jo Blackened ![]()
