Borracho & Cortez
Borracho/Cortez split 7
July 2014
Released: 2014, AM Records (Japan)
Rating: 1.0/5
Reviewer: UK Team

If you like Southern/Stoner Rock/Metal with no frills & no surprises, this is going to be right up your street. It sounds like many other bands I have come across. What makes this worse is this is 2 bands and I couldn’t tell they were different bands. So generic.

Just average, nothing special and totally ….so what. One track from each band – as a 7inch. The press release doesn’t even bother to tell us about Cortez. Probably sounds good when you are drunk on whiskey & rye.

Heard it all before, not recommended for anything, not even well produced or recorded. Struggling to find anything positive about this. Suggest they go back to the studio and start again. Borracho had slightly better recording studio & producer. Cortez track is a poor demo at best and not up to release quality, they should be ashamed.
