Heavy Weapons
February 2014
Released: 2013, Killer Metal Records
Rating: 3.5/5
Reviewer: Celtic Bob

Having formed in 2005 this Israeli Metal band have finally found their niche and released their debut album via Killer Metal Records in Germany. The sounds are nothing original but they are quite enjoyable.

At first you are reminded of Iron Maiden when Bruce first joined then you get that mid 80’s guitar sound of Accept during the BALLS TO THE WALL era. How can you argue with that? The answer is you can’t. It’s enjoyable and that is all that really matters. Yes the influences are right there in your face but you look past that for the most part when the music is good and enjoyable. Yes, originality is a big factor in music and Switchblade does add to their influences

9 songs of pure 80’s styled Metal. Everyone of them enjoyable to listen to from start to finish. It brings you back to a time when things were good and you had little to no responsibilities. HEAVY WEAPONS is an enjoyable Metal album from start to finish, period.
