Demented Honour
April 2006
Released: 2006, MTM Music/Zink Music
Rating: 4.5/5
Reviewer: Anders Sandvall

Mr. Sora is mostly known for his work with members from Quiet Riot and Survivor and lately he’s worked with John Lawton from Uriah Heep and Lucifer’s Friend, with John Sora released 4 CD’s and 2 DVD’s so far.

Mr. Sora wanted DEMENTED HONOUR to be based around the songs first and foremost, yet also appeal to fans of guitar oriented hardrock. And that’s exactly what he’s managed to do. The lead vocals are in focus as well as some very heavy guitar play. Mr. Sora says that this album will appeal to fans of Thin Lizzy, Deep Purple, Kiss and Bad Company, well maybe Bad Company but not fans of the other bands.

Everything on this album is of the highest class and everything from the lead vocals to the music sounds excellent. His fellow musicians are skilled but there is no doubt that this is Mr. Sora’s one man show. This album makes you real happy and it’s a perfect album to welcome the summer with and it can’t get so much better than this. The cover artwork fits brilliantly with the songs and this is an album I surely can recommend to every fan of melodic hardrock.

Some of the songs that stand out a bit extra are “Highway To Nowhere”, “Guilty”, “Barstool Corner”, “NYC”, “One Way Ticket”, “Broken Dreams” and “If You Ever Need Love”.
