Similar in style to Annik Giroux’ HELLBENT FOR COOKING that was published a year prior. MOSH POTATOES from Steve Seabury is 2010’s contribution to the world of Heavy Metal cooking. The approach is basically the same where musicians in the Metal community contribute some of their favorite recipes to make. Ones that they make at home (or on the bus) for family or friends.

After owning this book since release day I have had time to literally digest some of it’s recipes. As with HELLBENT FOR COOKING, the vast majority of the ones that I have made turned out really well. The “Drunken Battered Chicken” and “Granny’s Alcohol Infused New Orleans Bread Pudding” are just a couple of those that received rave reviews in the Celtic Bob household.

Another fantastic cookbook aimed at metalheads. MOSH POTATOES injects a bit of humor into the recipes making them enjoyable to actually read rather than just boring old directions. The only drawback to Steve’s book is that each recipe isn’t accompanied by a photo of what it ‘should’ turn out like. Who doesn’t want to see a photo of Lemmy’s contribution?? Beers up Steve.
