Deathcore has found another great and pure representative. Based in France, Rise of Doom unleashed early this year their ‘deathly’ titanic debut album, PURGATION.

Rise of Doom made their stamp on the French metal map, and not only in their home country. PURGATION is a fully promising debut album in the field of deathcore. Rise of Doom have chosen to infuse their heavy music with breakdowns, choirs, keyboards and electro intros. There are great infusions from Caliban and sometime from the master of djent, Meshuggah. There are a lot of parts with clean vocals that make their music easy to listen to, and the vocal rotation (growls to clean, clean to growls) has nothing to do with boring metalcore crap. Right here, these people are writing music history contrary to any multi-played patterns.

Songs follows up the same pattern, without being alike (!!!). If you will listen to PURGATION, you will understand what I am trying to say. With songs like “Global Disorder”, and “Gaia” - you will be into their music and if you are not fans of death core with clean vocals and growls, you will be Rise of Doom fans though. For Sure!

PURGATION is musically excellent example of how to create wonderful brutal music without being boring and repeating. Listen to PURGATION, at all songs, and you will have the same opinion with me. Rise of Doom will stick around for a long time unlike too many groups of the same kind.
