Hailing from Quebec, Canada, Ghoulunatics (shame on whoever picked this name) are rooted firmly in the Carcass-family of grindcore noise. The lyrics are full of blood, splatter and guts and the song titles reflect the subject matter. Vocals come in the typical barking roar that grind has and the guitars are thick, muddy and fast. Most of the tracks bleed together offering little variety or even a break to differentiate one from another. Essentially, I pressed play and SABACTHANY seemed like it was over after one track because the first sounds so close to the last!

The only real differences are in the title track with a heavier than thou riff and some interesting vocal patterns. “Nothing More” has a cool groove to it. Otherwise, this is run-of-the-mill grindcore with absolutely nothing to offer outside of tired, silly lyrics and cool cover art.
