Abigail II: The Revenge
Released: 2002, Metal Blade
Well here it is folks. The one I know everyone has (or should have) been waiting for. I'm sure some have been waiting since the release of THEM. This record definately has some hype behind it, and a legend to live up to. The first Abigail, as everyone knows, is one of the greatest albums in metal history and is one that everyone should own.
Obviously this is a continuation from where the first Abigail left off. I'm not going to go into the story for two reasons. The first is because I haven't been able to figure it all out myself yet. The second reason is, there's subliminal messages in the album telling me I can't reveal the secrets to you (Yes King, Yes my master.). You must purchase it yourselves to find out!
I personally think this is quite a bit better than House Of God. I also believe that, while not as good as the first Abigail, this does live up to it's predecessor. Now I will have to play Abigail AND Abigail II on Halloween (Not that I'm complaining..) This album is everything you could expect from the King. The artwork is awesome too, and is done by the great Travis Smith (Iced Earth, Jag Panzer, Opeth, etc) and is also worthy of the Abigail name. You can check out the classic picks section to see the review of Abigail.
If you don't own Abigail II: The Return, go buy it because you won't be disappointed. If you don't own Abigail, then may the King have mercy on your pitiful soul.
There's one thing that I have to ask though. When is the King going to get some sort of movie deal? These albums would make great movies! They would tear all these girly horror movies to shreds!
