Spot Remover
September 2000
Released: 1998, Howling Bull
Rating: 1.0/5
Reviewer: EvilG

Have you ever seen that Skid Row home video were a bunch of Japanese school girls are following around Sebastian singing "18 And Life"? Well these young looking girls look exactly like the members of Yellow Machinegun. This three piece all female band formed in 1993 in Osaka, Japan. When I first got this CD I assumed it would be a pop punk kind of band...boy was I wrong. These women sound nothing like they look! The music here is noisy thrash with hardcore and punk overtones. Even the vocals sound twisted. After I got over the shock that these dainty little creatures made this awful noise I actually sat and listened to the CD. Alas, after the shock wears off you realize there is little in the way of talent here. And don't get me started on the lyrics - "I'm jumping on my bed. I'm sliding down the handrail. I'm kicking my big ball. I'm running around in my room" oh yeah, that's deep. What a crock.
