My Storm Upon You [EP]
April 2013
Released: 2012, Dstroid Productions
Rating: 4.5/5
Reviewer: UK Team

I really miss industrial metal, it seemed to just disappear afew years ago, but it’s great to see there are still some bands out there keeping the genre going and W.E.B are one of them.

W.E.B. were formed in 2002 in Athens, Greece and consist of a Dark/Black/Death/Goth Metal genre. These are all of my favourite genres rolled up into one, so it was so surprise I instantly fell in love with this EP.

With 6 tracks this feels more like an album than an EP, but with such great tracks it demonstrates the varies styles in this band and these guys mean business.

Starting off with a very theatrical feel, the heavy guitaring works perfectly with the industrial sounds with the dark black metal vocals of ‘Darkface’.

Expressing darkness with adrenaline and poetry lyrics, this is one beautifully dark EP.

The tracks certainly take you on a journey, with catchy tunes aswell as a gothic haunting feel throughout, aswell as fantastic guitar riffs keeping the EP heavy throughout, and meaning there is something for everyone here!

If you’ve not heard of Industrial Black Metal before and after something new, then please do check these guys out, cause they are truly amazing and just shows you can mix different genres up, to create true masterpieces!

I loved their previous albums and look forward to their newest album later in the year.

Amazing work guys!!
