One of the better 80’s hard rock compilations out there. This two disc set is chuck full of the great rockers and ballads that defined the music scene for over a decade. Opening with Motley Crue’s "Dr. Feelgood," the ride just begins. One hit after another as Slaughter revs it up with "Up All Night", to Twisted Sister’s anthem "I Wanna Rock" all the way on through to the Bulletboys "Smooth Up In Ya." There are the power ballads for the broken hearted too. Warrant’s "I Saw Red," Skid Row’s "I Remember You" and Mr. Big’s "Just Take My Heart" highlight the softer side of the discs. There are a few nice surprises here. White Trash makes an appearance with Apple Pie (remember them?), Nelson with their mega hit "After The Rain" and Giant with "I’ll See You In My Dream" give that added bonus. Not a weak link. If you want to go on a nostalgia trip, do yourself a favor and get this album.
