British Hard Rock/Heavy Metal pioneers return with their 20th studio album and at least 55th release overall! Rounding out a very strong decade (their fourth as a band) with a fifth studio album, UFO shows no sign of slowing down. The line-up seems to have stabilized over the years although Pete Way was not a part of the recording sessions as his years of legendary alcohol use have caught up to him. However three of the four members have been with UFO from the beginning and former neo-classical shredder Vinnie Moore, an odd choice at first, has cemented his role over the past few albums.

All ten tracks are superb, melodic hard rock. The lyrics are time-tested and even perhaps world weary in spots written by the battle hardened veterans. The guitars have quite a bit of blues based, acoustic styling this time around but they nicely compliment the bands classic sound. The production is warm and full and the band still rocks out on cuts like ‘Hell Driver’, ‘Villains and Thieves’, and ‘Rock Ready’.

THE VISITOR stands as another album in a long line of albums of unwavering quality and hard rock craftsmanship.
