The Devil's Blood
The Thousandfold Epicentre
January 2012
Released: 2012, Metal Blade Records
Rating: 3.5/5
Reviewer: UK Team

This is the second album release from this Netherlands band ‘The Devil’s Blood’ and I have to say this is an interesting album!

The band uses theatrical presentation of the worship of Death, Chaos and the Devil but instead of using traditional black metal, they are in fact using elements of 70s hard rock and 60s psychedelic, as well as progressive rock and metal with great female vocals. I had to listen to this album a few times to realise just how great it really is as this isn’t a genre I could instantly identity with, but there are some really great tracks on this album, with certain songs really standing out amongst the others.

This is a great album and one that should be checked out, even if you’re not into the pagan/death psychedelic melodies, this album still has a great stoner feel to it and one that is easy to chill out to, so give it a try!
