Out of Sweden comes yet another melodic death metal band. Now before you write these guys off you will have to give them a listen . The average age of the band is 18 years old and they have been together since 1998. The band consists of Niklas Fjarve: guitar, Pierre Andersson: guitar, Jonathan Bloomberg: vocals, Daniel Fjarve: bass and John Gelotte on drums. Condemnation is a 3 song demo. Opening up the disc is “With Avengence”. This is a straight ahead thrash track. The production is excellent. Powerful, crisp and perfect for the track. Up next is “Falling Into Madness”. It is a cross of In Flames with Venom’s last disc. Aggressive but melodic and vocalist Bloomberg has the perfect blend of scream and sing. The disc closes with the title track. Again it is a powerful tune that I find hard to believe that a group so young could pull off. The playing is tight and reminds me of Kreator, especially from their latest disc.

All in all this was an enjoyable demo. Its nothing cutting edge but who says every new band has to be? Source blend melodic death metal with thrash and create a thoroughly enjoyable demo in the process. The band is in the process of recording some new material and are in search of a deal. With material like what they have on this demo they should have no problem.
