*SIGH* How could this happen? I’m pretty sure that everyone who knows who Sadist are, remember at 2 songs by them: “From Bellatrix to Betelgeuse” and “Enslaver of Lies.” To me at least, these are great representatives of what this Italian outfit is capable of doing. The first 2 albums where absolutely mind blowing and at least “Above the Light” is still among my top 20 of all time.

Well, Sadist have evolved into some kind of Dark, depraved sounding band that just doesn’t convince me. The technicality is still there, the keyboards are still there, the voice is kind of still there, but there’s just something that doesn’t click. Death Metal is always good when you play it, fast, furious, and technical…right? I don’t know anymore.

The album is not half bad, and chances are that if you haven’t heard the previous 2 you’ll like it, but otherwise you’ll probably be very disappointed like I am :(
