Heavy groovin´ thrashy shit here…From Belfast, Ireland, one can also expect more than loud and fanatic football fans. Sixkiller Zero is a 4-piece band hailing from Northern Ireland, and these fellows have chosen a somewhat heavy road to travel on, if we strictly limit our talk to a musical aspect of them.



The band has almost just recently released a 5-track E.P., titled BATTLE ROYALE, featuring really heavy, groove-laden, thrash-reeking metal that is meant ruthlessly to roll over its listeners like a flock of T. Rexes, that are after any flesh they could possibly get for their never-ending, insatiable hunger.



To Sixkiller Zero´s proud credit, I must confess at least that I rarely come by a so instantly heavy sounding and grooving metal acts nowadays like Sixkiller Zero prove to be on the E.P., which undoubtedly will turn some heads to their side. They rely on downright heavier-than-wet-pants and groovier-than-Travolta´s-hip-shaking, knock-down ingredients in their songs, that overall match well with the band´s own ideas to be one of the heaviest bands around these days, bringing their own brand of urban brutality to each of our own houses.



This is actually quite impressive stuff as far as Sixkiller Zero´s uncompromising heaviness of the songs is concerned. A sightly fast-paced title track of this E.P., “Battle Royale” is a catchy and fully steaming roller whereas the closer tune of this 5-track effort, “The Robot of Satan” begs no mercy for being absolutely this foursome´s crushingly heaviest and most spin-breaking number on here, putting a stop to all of our heartbeats. Gerardo´s voice is sort of reminiscent of Robb Flynn´s and Max Cavalera´s, adding even more heavy fuel into Sixkiller Zero´s shredding machine.



Sixkiller Zero seeks and destroys… I mean, if this E.P. can be anything to go by.
