Shannon was originally formed by Louis and Dagnicourt back in 1998 and it took a while to find the right members for the band. The search was over in 2003 when a solid line-up was put together and at the end of the year the band released their first album. Shannon has been support act to Axxis, Pink Cream 69, Jeff Scott Soto and Gotthard amongst others. Shannon’s music is best described as melodic hardrock. The sound is dominated by edgy guitar parts together with lead vocals. The music is extremely catchy and powerful and includes a lot of energy, vitality and fun.



Highlights of the album are “Do You Know?”, “No Better Times”, “Love IN Your Eyes”, “Winter Night” and “Hang On”. Those are all faster hardrock tunes with a lot of tempo and energy. There is heavy use of double bass drums and razor sharp axe-work. “Hungry for Love”, “No More Lies”, “Long Gone”, “Coming Back to You” and “Change Your Heart” are other great songs, those are more traditional melodic hardrock pieces with a lower tempo but they’re just as heavy as the rest of the album.



I’m really impressed by Shannon and its fun to hear a new band blow your mind like this. ANGEL IN DISGUISE brings you a perfect portion of melodic metal heaven and I would love to hear more from Shannon in the future.
