Secret Heroes
Loose, High & Free
March 2004
Released: 2003, Rock Parade Records
Rating: 4.0/5
Reviewer: Celtic Bob

Secret Hereos was formed by guitarist Ryan Heart in order to bring traditional Hard Rockin’ RnR back to life. Along with vocalist Fred Carson this bands debut is a high energy cd of Melodic Metal. Drummer Volker died before this album was released so this is their tribute to him and it features his solid, hard hitting drumming.

The 12 songs on this release are quite good with slightly distorted guitars in places, killer vocals and heart pounding drums. There are a few real jems on this album such as “Highway Runner” , “Get Laid” and “Straight On”. There isn’t a bad track on this album. If this album came out in the early 90’s along the sides of such bands as Harem Scarem and the like they would’ve been huge. Hopefully the record buying public will discover this release and give it the attention it deserves. This is one great release and I hope the band sticks around to release more True Rock.
