Serpent Son
Demo 666
January 2011
Released: 2010, Self-released Rating: 3.0/5 Reviewer: Luxi Lahtinen Drummer Gabriel Lewandowski (ex-Hellwitch, ex-Acheron, ex-Killing Addiction, etc.), vocalist and bassist Tony Blakk (ex-Acheron, Equinox, etc.) and Kelly McLauchin (ex-Unholy Ghost, ex-Angelcorpse, etc.) have all long histories in different recording line-ups - and these experienced lads´ newest incarnation of evil and all unholy, carries the name Serpent Son. The band made a visit at the infamous Blakk Magik Studios in Orlando, FL on June 6th 2010, recording 4 songs of Christ-crushing Satanic Death Metal that basically reflect pretty well how some of their previous bands hammered the world with venomous bastard-nailing nails and spikes. To me, probably the closest musical comparisons to Serpent Son´s stuff, might come in form of the demo era of Rigor Mortis/Immolation and early Krisiun (or even the Brazilian Death Metal tornado Abhorrence). This hellish horde comes on your skin like a merciless army of blood-craving demons straight from the pits of Hell, mutilating and desecrating your corpse, raping your soul – and getting their (Satan´s) work accomplished as it was originally written in the unholy blood in the first place. Serpent Son´s Death Metal sounds – to say it simple, downright fast, brutal, raw, infernal, all-mangling – and like a band you would hope to get for a visit to your hometown whenever a Sunday church service starts getting your nerves, or you simply want to arrange a wild metal party for all the metal heads near by your neighbor area - you name it. Serpent Son is the real deal. Impure, hateful Bible-burning Satanic Death Metal, which wants to re-crucify your weak Messiah one more time – let´s say, even just for its own fun. ![]()
