‘III: Eternalism - The Psychospherical Chapter’ is Stellar Master Elite’s 3rd full length album. German black metallers Stellar Master Elite created a well structured black metal album that points towards the 15-minute long ‘Eternalism’, then which the band appropriately do not attempt to top it and thus end the album with a ‘Downfall’.
There are nine songs on the album of longer-than-average durations. The album has a good flow with a lot of variety. Especially the fourth track, ‘Perdition Time Loop’ moves a completely different realm, almost reminiscent of the Elend of early 2000s. A well-known exotic atmosphere is created in the song with the low clean vocals and intricate percussive work. ‘Hologram Temple’, which follows, takes the same atmosphere but filters through a doomy backdrop. Even though, in my opinion, the album develops towards ‘Eternalism’, these two songs are fascinating to listen, but of course this results from the surrounding sounds.
I think the album is a fantastic one, which deserves multiple sessions. You will want to come back to it.
