The Morning Sunburst
December 2006
Released: 2005, Versailles Records
Rating: 3.0/5
Reviewer: Celtic Bob

Formed back in early 2003 after seeing Faster Pussycat in Milan, it was then first 3 of them decided to go back to their roots and play some real rock n roll. After just 6 short months they entered the recording studio to begin recording their debut disc.

This disc starts out with the fantastic rocker "Boom Baby" where it has some classic 80's groove guitar happening. This is one good time rock n roll song. Singer Ryan, could have fronted one of the many big sunset strip bands back in the day. The whole disc has that sleazy Hollywood feel to it.

The Aerosmith influence kicks in with the next track "Next Step To You" , with the bluesy intro with a harmonica. Thats where the influence is left and we get back into the LA trash with some terrific guitar playing.

Featured on the Perris Records sampler CD HOLLYWOOD HAIRSPRAY No5 is the track "Pusher" , which is the heaviest track on the disc. With blistering and crunchy guitar tones and heavy hitting drums, this is one killer song.

While not overly original it is an album worth checking out if you are into classic 80's sounding bands.
